Jordan, UAE Intensify Crucial Humanitarian Aid to Gaza
In total, 25 tonnes of critical aid were distributed to several locations within the enclave, marking the continuation of airdrop efforts following their recent restart amidst escalating humanitarian challenges.
In addition to these aerial deliveries, a convoy of 60 trucks loaded with food supplies set off for Gaza on Sunday. The convoy’s organization involved coordination between the JAF, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), the World Food Programme, and the World Central Kitchen, according to a JHCO statement.
Since the Gaza conflict began, Jordan has dispatched 181 land convoys consisting of 7,932 trucks. Meanwhile, the JAF has independently completed 127 airdrops and conducted 267 additional joint airdrops with international partners.
On the same day, the Israeli military declared a 10-hour humanitarian pause in its Gaza operations, opening secure corridors for aid distribution amid mounting global pressure over the worsening hunger emergency in the region.
