Fenerbahce Beko Coach Stranded in UAE Amid Flight Disruptions
The club said Jasikevicius, who had been on holiday in Dubai, was unable to leave the country because of disruptions caused by ongoing US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory actions.
Fenerbahce added that it is coordinating with the Turkish Foreign Ministry to ensure the coach’s safe return and is closely monitoring developments.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority previously announced a temporary and partial closure of national airspace as an “exceptional precautionary measure,” reportedly aimed at ensuring flight safety, protecting crews, and safeguarding national territory amid escalating regional security concerns.
